Samuel M. Pollom, JD, CPA


Sam is the Senior Case Advisor at BGBC Partners, LLP.  He is responsible for handling tax controversies and tax collection matters for the firm’s clients.  Sam’s focuses on tax law and tax procedures as applied to examinations by the IRS and state taxing authorities.  He also guides our clients through the tax collection process, working with the IRS and the various states on their behalf.  In addition to his primary duties, Sam provides consulting services to clients on structuring businesses, business transactions, and operations management.

Over the course of his career with almost 17 years of experience, Sam has conducted significant tax research in individual income tax, corporate and partnership income tax, estate and gift tax, and various other tax and tax-related issues.  Before joining BGBC, Sam spent six years with a Big Four public accounting firm where he served in the Real Estate Group, and later in the International Tax Group. 

Sam regularly participates in speaking engagements about tax law, and professional responsibilities and ethics.  He conducts training seminars for BGBC employees and other professionals.  Sam constantly reviews and interprets new tax laws passed by Congress in order to advise his clients and colleagues.
