We are pleased to announce the appointment of Shelley Mattaliano, CPA, as the firm’s new Managing Partner, effective immediately. Shelley, who succeeds Kyle Simmerman, becomes the fourth managing partner in the firm’s distinguished history. This significant milestone marks an exciting new chapter since joining the Springline Advisory platform and their strategic investment in BGBC Advisory earlier this year.
As we continue to evolve and grow, Shelley will build on the accomplishments of our previous Managing Partners, ensuring that our people-first approach and firm culture remain central to our success. Former Managing Partner Kyle Simmerman, who has been instrumental in our firm’s growth, will transition to focusing on strategic initiatives and key client relationships.
Reflecting on his tenure, Kyle shared, “I’m extremely proud that Shelley is stepping into the role of Managing Partner, and I’m confident that under her leadership, the firm is positioned for future success. Shelley has worked incredibly hard throughout her career to earn leadership opportunities, and this is another great step in her professional journey. I look forward to continuing to work with Shelley to advance our award-winning culture and deliver exceptional client service.”
Since joining the firm in 2002, Shelley has consistently demonstrated her commitment to excellence and leadership. Her former role as Director of Assurance Services showcases her deep understanding of our firm’s operations and her ability to drive success in key areas. Throughout her tenure, Shelley has been instrumental in shaping our Assurance practice, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the firm’s growth.
Shelley’s extensive background in Assurance Services will continue to benefit the entire firm. Her expertise spans industries such as manufacturing, service, transportation and logistics, construction, non-profit, HUD, and employee benefit plans.
In response to her appointment, Shelley remarked, “I’m humbled and honored to be trusted with the responsibility of guiding BGBC as its next Managing Partner. I’m grateful for the confidence my fellow partners and the Springline Advisory team have shown in me, and I’m committed to continuing the growth and success of the business. I would also like to thank Kyle Simmerman for his exemplary leadership over the past 5 years, navigating the firm through the Springline transaction, significantly expanding our advisory services, and safeguarding our people-first culture.”
In addition to her role at BGBC, Shelley is a founding member of the Advisory Council for Springline Advisory, our private equity partner. This position underscores the strategic alignment across our family of firms which promises to accelerate our growth opportunities while maintaining a commitment to our values and culture.
Shelley’s appointment as Managing Partner reinforces BGBC’s commitment to fostering strong leadership, maintaining our entrepreneurial spirit, and continuing our tradition of excellence in accounting and advisory services. We look forward to the valuable contributions she will make in leading our firm into its next phase of growth and success.
