INTERNSHIP
An internship with BGBC is an opportunity to jump-start your career in public accounting and give you a solid foundation as you begin your career in the profession. Interns are a critical part of our professional team and perform the same work as our staff under the guidance of experienced, high-caliber professionals. Interns receive valuable experience with clients of all sizes across numerous industries and are exposed to both domestic and international issues. Additionally, we maintain a “One Firm, One Team” approach, meaning BGBC interns will work on assignments for both assurance and tax engagements.
INTERNSHIP BENEFITS
- Gain hands-on experience in both tax and audit
- Participate in our intern orientation, technical training and development programs designed to expose you to both tax and audit and to give you the tools needed to immediately contribute to clients
- Shadowing and performing procedures on various financial statement areas, including cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, other assets, and accounts payable
- Gaining experience with various types of software, such as software used for bookkeeping, tracking fixed assets, and preparing tax returns and assurance work-papers
- Reviewing client financial statements and recording any necessary adjustments
- Working on payroll and 1099 annual filing requirements
- Work directly with a variety of clients across multiple industries ranging from start-ups and family-run businesses to multi-national corporations
- Demonstrate your performance and ability to join BGBC as a Staff Accountant full-time
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Working towards an Undergraduate or master’s Degree in Business or Accounting
- On track for CPA Eligibility upon graduation
- Outstanding students with a minimum overall GPA of a 3.2
- Excellent written/verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Available to work full-time January – mid May
- Energetic, driven, and eager to learn and grow

FULL-TIME STAFF

Full-time staff receives valuable experience with clients of all sizes across numerous industries and are exposed to both domestic and international issues. Not sure if you want to do tax or audit? No problem. We give our new staff the opportunity to experience work in both concentrations before choosing the direction they’d like to take their career. FULL-TIME STAFF BENEFITS

- 150 credit-hour CPA exam eligibility requirements
